Beed: A major fire broke out in Vaidyanath Cooperative Sugar Mill at Parli, Maharashtra on Wednesday afternoon. Pankaja Munde, minister for women and child welfare department, is the chairperson of the mill. The cause of the fire is unknown. However, due to the alertness of mill workers and fire tenders, the fire has reportedly been brought under control.
As per reports, workers of mill witnessed sudden fire in the storage area, following which they alerted the fire tenders.
According to officials, nobody injured in the incident, but a huge amount of assets including bagasse gutted in the fire.
As many as nine fire tenders were struggling to douse the fire in the factory premises.
In the same factory, seven employees were killed in an accident in the year 2017.
