Flood brings life to a standstill in Bihar

Patna: Flood has deteriorated the situation in the parts of the northeast and Bihar. As on Monday, at least 31 people have died so far in Bihar.

According to reports, around 20 lakh have been people affected by the heavy rainfall.

Madhubani, Supaul, Darbhanga, Araria, Kishanganj, Sheohar, Sitamarhi, Muzaffarpur, and East Champaran are the worst affected districts in Bihar.

Due to flood, several roads have been severely affected, which is becoming an obstruction in carrying out relief work.

All the major rivers were flowing above the danger level in the last 24 hours.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar convened a meeting to review the flood situation and also conducted the aerial survey of flood-affected areas.

Patna Meteorological Centre forecast that the state will witness rain with a thunderstorm in the next four days. Because of this, it is feared that the situation would remain grim.
