Former MLA urges state government to constitute panel to fix SAP for sugarcane

Kalaburagi, Karnataka: State government should immediately constitute a committee for fixing State Advisory Price (SAP), said former MLA BR Patil. He also accused sugar factories of not declaring Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) fixed by the Union government for sugarcane.

Speaking to reporters, he said, “The government has not formed a committee under the leadership of the sugar minister to fix SAP for sugarcane. This indicates the government’s attitude towards the cane farmers.”
