FRP hike demand: Farmers warn to intensify their agitation

Mysuru, Karnatka: Farmers demanding higher sugarcane FRP have threatened to intensify agitation if the government fails to accept their demand, reports The Hindu.

Launching a unique protest, farmers on Monday dressed up as MLAs and MPs to send their message to the government.

Kurubur Shanthakumar, leader of the farmers said that if the government fails to respond to their demands they will intensify the agitation.

Farmers are agitating outside the office of the Deputy Commissioner and a heavy police force has been deployed at the spot.
