Hasanpur: Hasanpur sugar mill will complete sugarcane crushing for the on-going season by March 16. The mill has completed crushing of 51, 36,000 quintal sugarcane till date. The mill had however set a target of crushing 80 lakh quintal sugarcane for this season.
For the last ten days, the mill has been operating for 5 to 10 hours per day with intervals due to lack of availability of cane. The excess rainfall and poor management of tackling the rainy season have led to the lowering cane output.
