Kaithal cooperative sugar mill will begin its cane crushing operations from November 12 and the inauguration will be done by Haryana Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal. The mill is expected to produce 4.5 lakh quintal sugar by crushing around 40 lakh quintal sugarcane during this season.
Along with producing sugar, the mill will for the first time produce jaggery on an experimental basis. Sugar mills in the state have been given a target to crush 754 lakh quintal of sugarcane for 2020-21 season.
