Mawana sugar mill clears sugarcane payment

Mawana, Uttar Pradesh: Mawana sugar mill made a cane payment of Rs 39.48 crore to farmers that have sent crops to the mill from December 10 to December 17, reports Live Hindustan.

Naresh Kumar, secretary of the Mawana cooperative sugarcane committee said, “The can bills have been transferred to the bank accounts of the respective farmers. The mill has 67.64 lakh quintals of sugarcane till January 2 and paid Rs 178.58 crore to the cane farmers so far.”

Pramod Baliyan, senior chief manager of the sugar mills said, “farmers should send clean and fresh sugarcane for crushing.”
