Moradabad: Farmers asked to sow new variety of sugarcane

Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh): At Akhil Bhartiya Kisan Mazdur Sabha, farmers have submitted a memorandum to the Senior Sugarcane Inspector regarding their grievances related to sugarcane satta and the basic quota, reported Live Hindustan.

During this interaction, Senior Sugarcane Inspector Hashmul Hasan informed us that nearly all pending complaints have been resolved. The remaining complaints are also being addressed promptly to ensure that farmers do not face any issues in the upcoming sugarcane season.

He mentioned that there have been complaints regarding the occurrence of red rot disease in sugarcane of the 0238 variety. Therefore, farmers are urged not to cultivate this variety and, instead, opt for the latest sugarcane varieties to avoid such problems.

Furthermore, Preetam Singh, the leader of the Kisan Mazdur Sabha, emphasized the need to provide farmers with high-quality sugarcane seeds at reasonable prices.
