Meerut: Nanglamal sugar mill will commence the cane crushing from the first week of November. The mill administration said that all the preparations to start crushing are completed, and the mill has set up 104 centres to collect sugarcane and the crushing will begin from November 4.
L D Sharma, Managing Director of the mill, said, “We have completed all the formalities and are ready to start crushing. We have set up 104 collection centres to collect cane from villages and bring them to our sugar mill for crushing. The farmers will be given the receipts as per the cane they give to the mill for crushing. The cane purchase will begin from November 2.”
