New ethanol plant to be set up in Haryana

Karnal: Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that an ethanol plot having a capacity of 120 Klpd will be established at the newly set up cooperative sugar mill in Karnal, reports Amar Ujala.

CM made the statement duringt his visit to the mill on Monday. He met the officials of the sugar mill and directed them to speed up the operations to start cane crushing. The decision will help around 2,650 farmers of 132 villages who are associated with the mill as the ethanol plant will generate additional income and so the farmers’ payments can be cleared on time.

He also directed the mill administration to start a project to produce jaggery.

Haryana aims to increasing ethanol production therefore many ethanol units are being set up in the state.
