Pakistan: Government may seal four sugar mills

Sargodha: The government officials have asked the four sugar mills from Sargodha district to start cane crushing within 24 hours, else the mills will be sealed.

Deputy Commissioner Abdullah Nayyer Shiekh has issued orders in this regard. He has set up a fact-finding committee comprising representatives of sugar mills and cultivators to find out the low yield of sugarcane in the district.

He has ordered the administration of Al-Arabia Sugar Mills for paying dues to the cane cultivators within a week and submit the report. He stated that the exploitation of cultivators would not be tolerated.
