Pakistan: No sugar shortage in market, says Hafizabad Deputy Commissioner

Hafizabad, Pakistan: There is no shortage of sugar in the district as Hafizabad has been supplied with 125 tonnes of sugar, said deputy commissioner Naveed Shahzad Mirza.

He said, “We are making sugar available for consumers at Rs 83 in the open market and at Rs 81 per kg in Sahulat Bazaars. We are expecting that the second supply of sugar consignment will arrive in a few days.”

He has asked the Special price Control Magistrates to keep a check on the shopkeepers in open markets and Sahulat Bazaars to ensure that no one hoards sugar in the market and if found then take action against them.
