The Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) period has been redefined to 1st November to 31st October of next year from 1st November 2023 onwards. In view of the change in ESY period, the ESY 2022-23 period will be considered from 1st December 2022 to 31st October 2023.

Government has advanced the target of 20% ethanol blending in petrol from earlier 2030 to 2025. The target of 10 percent blending under the programme has been achieved in June 2022 much ahead of the targeted timelines of November 2022.
