Regreen Excel playing key role by spearheading green energy technology

Shifting towards renewable energy sources like ethanol and biofuels will help in bringing down the oil import cost, benefit farmers, building a greener and cleaner world for future generations, said Sanjay Desai, Chairman and Managing Director, Regreen Excel EPC India Pvt. Ltd., Pune.

The need of the hour is to reduce carbon emissions, and Regreen Excel is playing a pivotal role by spearheading renewable energy sources. The company is well known for using green energy technology and with its expertise designed and implemented various ethanol and biofuel projects all over the world.

Green ethanol and biofuels can be produced from agricultural produce like maize, sugar cane and cellulosic wastes and this will ultimately help in increasing farmers’ income as well as generate employment in the country.

Use of advanced E-max technology has allowed the company to get a price edge over other competitors.

“Our E-max technology solutions help in producing ethanol from various feedstocks using 50% less energy and consuming less water. This is a new opportunity for investors in India. We can convert agricultural waste into fuel and this will help farmers garner additional income,” he said.

The company has succeeded in implementing 95 projects successfully in India which is equivalent to 50 per cent of ethanol produced in India in past 4 to 5 years.

The company is now building large ethanol plants having a capacity of 800-kilo litre per day (KLPD) at Ugar Sugar Works in Karnataka that uses sugarcane as raw material. It is also setting up 450 KLPD spoiled grain plants, each for Gulshan Poly Oils in Madhya Pradesh, Mash Biofuels Orissa, Green bio and Hermes Karnataka. Company is also working on 360 KLPD plant using sugarcane and grains for Balarampur Chini, 350 KLPD plant for Devsristi in Telangana etc. Few projects have also been accomplished in foreign markets too.

By building various ethanol plants across the country, Regreen Excel is also helping Indian government to achieve the target of 20 per cent ethanol blending by 2025.
