RLD protests sugarcane price announcement delay in Uttar Pradesh

Bulandshahr: The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) party held a protest in the village of Bodra in Bulandshahr district on Sunday to demand that the Uttar Pradesh government declare a sugarcane price for the 2023-2024 season, reported Live Hindustan.

The protest was organized by RLD district president Pankaj Pradhan. He told the crowd that the government had not yet declared a price for sugarcane, while other states, such as Haryana and Punjab, had already done so.

“The government must immediately declare a price for sugarcane,” Pradhan said. “If they do not, we will hold a major protest and surround the state capital, Lucknow, under the leadership of RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary.”

At the protest, Manoj Chaudhary, a resident of Bodra, was appointed as the new district general secretary of the RLD.

Others who attended the protest included Rahul Gurjar, Dr. Mangeram, district general secretary Satish Kumar Puniya, Gauhar Ali, Jitendra Kumar, Vijay Pawar, Shahnawaz Khan, Narendra Pipla, Lekhraj Pradhan, Furqan Ali, Brajesh Pradhan, Parag Chaudhary, Vikrant Chaudhary, Vikas Chaudhary, Rajkumar Panghal, Sanjeev Kumar, Umeed Ali, and Pappu.
