Sensex ends 383 points down; Nifty below 10,950

Mumbai: On Thursday, the benchmark indices ended in the red.

Sensex on 29th August 2019 ended 382.91 points lower at 37,068.93. Similarly, NSE Nifty ended 97.80 points down at 10,948.30.

Sun Pharma, Vedanta, NTPC, ONGC and Infosys were among the top gainers today.

Top losers in the Sensex pack included SBI, YES Bank, HDFC, Axis Bank and Kotak Bank.

With the announcement of sugar export subsidy, stocks of many sugar companies surged. Shares of Shree Renuka Sugars, Dharani Sugars & Chemicals, Sakthi Sugars and others witnessed good gains in early trade.

In the previous season on August 28, Sensex ended 189.43 points lower at 37,451.84. Similarly, NSE Nifty ended 59.25 points down at 11,046.10.
