Benchmark indices ended higher today. On September 08, Sensex closed 659.31 points higher at 59,688.22. Nifty ended 174.35 points higher at 17,798.75.
In the previous season, on September 7, Sensex closed at 59,029, down 168 points while the Nifty50 ended 31 points down at 17,624.
Among sectors, IT and financials added 1-2 percent each. The midcap and smallcap indices gained half a percent each.
