Mumbai: Sensex on Monday was trading 73.38 points lower at 40,371.77, while NSE Nifty was trading 26.10 points down at 11,895.40 in morning trade.
Similarly, at 10:10 am, Sensex was trading at 40,481.25 points, and Nifty was trading at 11,935.95 points.
Maruti, Vedanta, Tata Steel, HDFC, Tata Motors and Sun Pharma were among the top gainers.
Bajaj Finance, HUL, ITC, SBI, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tech Mahindra, TCS and Axis Bank among the top losers today.
On the currency front, the rupee appreciated by 10 paise to 71.10 in early session on Monday.
