Shamli, Uttar Pradesh: District Magistrate has taken a tough stand on the pending cane dues issue and asked the sugar mills in the district to make 100 per cent cane payment ahead of the upcoming crushing season, reports LiveHindustan.

Three sugar mills in the district owe dues of Rs 476.18 crore to cane farmers. DM Jasjit Kaur had called the officials of sugar mills on Thursday to discuss the issue of pending cane dues.
