The shortage of sugar at the grocery stores in the country is a shame, said Kassym Jomart Tokayev, Head of State.
He has instructed the government to map out a project keeping in view the development of the domestic sugar industry.
He has instructed the Cabinet to prepare a plan to develop the domestic sugar industry and lower the dependence on imports to achieve self-sufficiency.
The foreign investors are interested in investing in the sugar industry in the country, said the Kazakh President.
