Lucknow: Samajwadi Party national president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yahave has attacked the Uttar Pradesh government over the delay in announcing the state advisory price (SAP) for cane even though the crushing season has already begun, reports The Pionner
The sugarcane crushing began in the new season, but the UP government is yet to announce the SAP for cane, he said. He added that farmers are yet to receive pending cane dues for the last season.
Farmers are facing distress due to the bad governance of the ruling government, said Yadav.
