Sugar distribution through PDS will re-introduce in Tripura

With BJP government comes to power, the party wants to win the confidence of citizens. Tripura’s Food Minister Manoj Kanti Deb declared that sugar distribution through the Public Distribution System (PDS) will re-introduce from June in the state for all the families, as BJP government has decided to provide sugar as an essential item.

He said, “Sugar distribution to all the APL (Above Poverty Line) and BPL (Below Poverty Line) customer through Fair Price Shops will commence from next month. Customers will get 1kg sugar per Ration card which will cost Rs 20.50 per kg” and added that the state government has chalked out plans for distributing Soyabean and Mustard Oil through Ration shops in a phased manner.

Earlier, one kilogram of Massor Dal for each ration card has been started by the state government.
