Sugar mill worker tests positive for coronavirus in Haryana

Kurukshetra, Haryana: Sugar mills workers are working day and night to produce hand sanitizers to fight against coronavirus (Covid-19). But unfortunately, as per reports, a 52-year-old male worker of Shahabad sugar mill in Haryana tested positive for Covid-19.

According to the Kurukshetra deputy commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata, we received the information from PGI, Chandigarh in the morning on Friday about a resident of Shahabad sugar mill colony testing positive to Covid-19.

As per the report published in The Times of India, Khadgata said, “The sugar mill colony established in the mill campus have 150 houses. The residential area has been sealed after declaring it as a containment zone.”

Sugar mill will be closed for 3 to 4 days, and during this period sanitization will be done. All the workers will be tested for Covid-19. Depending on the situation, the further decision will be taken regarding starting operations.
