Both the varieties of sugar prices firmed up further at the Vashi wholesale market today following sustained demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
Small sugar (S-30) climbed by Rs 70/108 per quintal to Rs 2,840/2,950 from Thursday’s closing level of Rs 2,770/2,842.
Medium sugar (M-30) rose by Rs 90/68 per quintal to Rs 2,952/3,080 as against Rs 2,862/3,012 yesterday.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,840/2,950 (Rs2,770/2,842).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,952/3,080 (Rs 2,862/3,012).
