Shahjahanpur: District administration has decided to crack the whip on the sugarcane mafia. District collector Indra Vikram Singh on Monday issued orders to the officials to conduct the random survey of the sugarcane fields in the district.
According to the media report, 192 workers are engaged in the work of sugarcane survey. There are more than 1.97 lakh sugarcane farmers in the district and the officials have completed the survey of around 75,000 sugarcane farmersтАЩ fields. The sugarcane department will hand over the details of the survey to the district administration after completing the 50% survey.
It is noteworthy that with the implementation of the new ERP system, the cane mafias has been eradicated upto large extent.
