Hyderabad: Telangana Agriculture Minister Singireddy Niranjan Reddy visited the Sri Someshwara Farmer Cooperative Sugar Factory in Maharashtra.
Impressed by the activities of the sugar mill, he said that as many as 27,000 farmers are connected with the mill and are growing cane and getting benefitted by producing sugar, ethanol and generating electricity. The minister is on an official tour in Maharashtra.
He later met Nationalist Congress Party leader Sharad Pawar and discussed the issues related to the sugarcane farmers in the country.
