UP cane department to train youths under NAPS

Bareilly: The state sugarcane department is planning to provide professional and technical training to youths through the national apprenticeship promotion scheme (NAPS) to build an employment-oriented pathway for them, reports The Times of India.

The additional chief secretary of sugarcane development and sugar industry, Sanjay R Bhoosreddy, said, “State sugar corporation, cooperative sugar factories federation and the cane development department would provide the training in form of internships and apprenticeships during the student’s summer vacations.”

The candidates after completing the training will be eligible for government as well as private jobs, he said.
