Will clear pending wages of PSSK’s employees: Murugesh Nirani

Mysuru: If the government plans to lease out MySugar factory from Mandya district, I will contest the bid, said BJP MLA Murugesh Nirani. During the interaction between media, he said, “The government has formed an expert committee and discussions are in progress on the future of the sugar factory which has been defunct for two years.”

“The committee will decide the fate of the sugar mill whether it should be run by government or be leased out to private sector companies or to hand over the operations and management to private agencies”, Nirani said.

“If the government takes a decision to lease Mysugar factory, I may participate in the bid based on investment on the project,” he further added.

Recently, Nirani won a 40-year lease of Pandavapura Sahakara Sakkare Karkhane (PSSK), popularly known as Pandavapura sugar mill. Speaking on the pending wages of employees, he said, “Within 24 hours of the tripartite agreement between the government, PSSK and Nirani Groups, we will clear the three years’ pending wages of employees. We will hire local skilled labourers.”
