Pune, Chinimandi: Sugar season is on the verge of an end and still many sugar mills in Maharashtra have not paid the salary to their workers from last six months. Outstanding salaries have remained one of the major problems.

Along with that, many other issues like wage board have not been solved for many years. To discuss how to overcome these issues, a rally has been organised in Pune. Around 1 lakh 20 thousand workers are associated with Maharashtra’s sugar mills.

The five-year ‘salary agreement’ of workers is coming to an end, and it is expected that a discussion regarding the same would take place in the rally.

Former Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar will attend the rally as a chief guest. NCP president Jayant Patil, former state Cooperation Minister Harshvardhan Patil, and Maharashtra State Cooperative Sugar Factories Federation chairman Jayprakash Dandegaonkar will also attend the rally.
