Domestic Market

Domestic prices reported weak, subdued demand

Domestic sugar prices fell on weak demand in the major trading centers. Despite the dire crop situation due to the drought, demand is reported to be dull, weighing on sugar prices. However, prices in the spot market are likely to be supported by lower rainfall activity over major cane growing regions, combined with lower supply.

Prices per quintal in Kolhapur were reported to be between Rs 3,520 and Rs 3,540, and between Rs 3,700 and Rs 3,740 in Muzaffarnagar. According to AgriMandi.live, S grade will be traded in the Kolhapur markets between Rs 3,500 and Rs 3,580 per quintal in the near future.
