Weak sentiment continued in domestic sugar prices
Domestic sugar prices continued to fall on sluggish off take ahead of the start of the crushing season. Prices cooled off by another Rs 10-20 per quintal as demand was reported to be muted. Moreover, with the commencement of the crushing season from next week, prices remain under pressure amid expectations of improved supplies.
In Muzaffarnagar (Uttar Pradesh), M-grade sugar was quoted in the range of ₹3,940–₹4,000 per quintal, while in Kolhapur (Maharashtra), S-grade sugar traded between ₹3,750 and ₹3,790 per quintal.
International Market

The rupee traded against the US dollar at 88.241 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.3700 Crude WTI traded at $61.56 a barrel. Sensex closed 566.96 points up at 84778.84 whereas Nifty closed 170.90 points higher at 25966.05
