“Action Will Be Taken Against Mills Selling Sugar At A Lower Price” – Ram Vilas Paswan

Food and Supplies Minister Ram Vilas Paswan ordered to take action against sugar mills selling sugar at a lower price after the meeting with Swabhimani Shetkari Sangathan chief, MP Raju Shetty. In a recent meeting he complained that the sugar mills in Maharashtra are selling sugar at a lower rate compared to the prices set by the central government. At that time minister Paswan ordered Secretary Ravi Kant, secretary of the Ministry of Food and Civil Supplies to take action against mills.

It was observed that few mills were selling sugar below the MSP which was taking a toll on the wholesale rates of sugar. He also suggested that the Govt. should considering the proposal of increase in MSP.

Ramvilas Paswan is considering a proposal to increase the prices of sugar, a decision will be taken soon, and sugar mills which sell sugar at low rates should be questioned soon.
