Kushinagar: Uttar Pradesh Go-Seva aayog’s vice president Yashwant alias Atul Singh met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday and acquainted him with the situation of the sugarcane farmers.
He told the CM that the Kaptanganj sugar mill has stopped crushing operations when the farmers are waiting to clear the cane from their fields. This has created problems for sugarcane farmers and they want to clear the field to take the cultivation of the next crop.
Now the farmers are not able to decide where to take their cane for crushing. The sugar mill already owes crores of Rs of pending cane dues to the cane farmers. He has urged the CM to take immediate steps to address the farmers’ issues. CM has assured to address the issue.
