Bangladesh seeks Japanese investment in modernising state-owned sugar mills

Bangladesh is trying to get assistance from Japan to modernize the state-owned sugar mills.

According to the media report, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun sought Japanese investment in modernising state-owned sugar mills, processing of agricultural products and food, and development of vendors for small and medium industries.

He was speaking after meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Naoki Ito at the ministry.
