Bhartiya Kisan Sangh demands payment of pending sugarcane dues

Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh: Bhartiya Kisan Sangh demanded that the UP government should take steps to clear pending cane arrears and reduce the petroleum rates. The memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was submitted to the district collector Akhilesh Singh at his office on Tuesday.

As per the statement issued by the BKS, the sugar mills have not cleared the cane arrears of the sugarcane farmers. This has increased the financial burden on farmers and they are not able to meet their daily needs. The government should take steps and ensure that the farmers get their dues on time.

The organization also stated that the prices of crude oil in the international market are low but the government is continuously raising the rates of petrol and diesel. This has also increased the financial trouble for farmers.
