Crop residue to be used to make bio CNG and organic fertilizers

Saharanpur: Waste material from sugar mills as well as the crop residue will be utilized to produce bio CNG and organic fertilizers in the district, reports Amar Ujala.

For this purpose, three separate units will be set up in the district and out of these, the unit set up by Sevozone Energy and Fertilizer Pvt Ltd at Issepur village in Gangoh region has completed construction work of 15%. The plant is likely to start operations by March 2024.

Now the farmers in the district need not to worry about disposal of the crop residue. These units will be using crop residue, waste material from sugar mills as well as cow dung as raw material. This will help in reducing pollution caused due to stubble burning as well as help farmers increase their income.
