With the completion of the harvest of 2023-24 season at the Antonio Sanchez sugar mill, which is the second mill in the province to achieve this goal, the central province of Cienfuegos has fulfilled its commitment by producing almost 30,000 tons of sugar in the current campaign, reported Cuba News

Franklin Delgado Der, the head of industry at Azcuba’s Coordination and Technical Supervision Directorate in Cienfuegos, informed the Cuban News Agency that despite resource challenges and a 120-day work period, the sugar workers successfully met their targets at two sugar mills and are now focused on achieving the same at the third mill.

Delgado Der emphasized that milling operations in the city are ongoing without interruption to meet the production target, demonstrating a final push towards completion in time for the celebrations on May Day, International Workers’ Day.

Cienfuegos continues to rank among the most efficient provinces in the country. Despite facing difficulties during repairs and the harvest, it once again brings the satisfaction of meeting its commitments.
