Daily Sugar Market Update By Vizzie – 07/09/2023

ChiniMandi, Mumbai: 7th September 2023

Domestic Market

Domestic prices remained stable for the third session.

Following a sharp increase in the major markets, domestic sugar prices were reported stable for a third session. Demand is said to be sluggish at current prices, putting downward pressure on prices. In addition, rain has been reported in the main cane-growing areas of Maharashtra and South India over the past week, and more rain is predicted over the next week. Although it is likely that these rains will help crops develop, a lack of supply may still lead to price increases.

Further price increases may result in additional sugar allocations for September as the government considers stock limits.

According to reports, a quintal costs between Rs. 3,770 and 3,800 in Muzaffarnagar and Rs. 3,620 to 3,650 in Kolhapur. According to AgriMandi.live, the S grade sugar price per quintal in Kolhapur markets will fluctuate between Rs 3,580 and Rs 3,700.
