Domestic Market

Sugar prices continued to trade stable

The price of domestic sugar remained stable in the main markets. Trading is reported to be very thin, but retail demand is reported to be weaker. In Kolhapur, S grades were priced between Rs. 3,480 and Rs. 3,520, while M grades were priced between Rs. 3,630 and Rs. 3,660.

In Kolhapur markets, S grade is expected to cost between Rs 3,440 and Rs 3,550 per quintal, according to AgriMandi.live.

International Market

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $694.40 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 23.96 c/lb.

Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices

The rupee traded against the US dollar at 82.094 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 4.8190, Crude futures traded at ₹6229, Crude WTI traded at $75.83 barrel. Sensex closed 164.99 points higher at 65558.89 whereas Nifty ended 29.45 points higher at 19413.75
