DCM Shriram signs MoU with Gujarat govt for expansion of chemicals portfolio

DCM Shriram and the Government of Gujarat have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to invest in the manufacturing of chemical and petrochemicals products in the state 2028. The proposed investment is to the tune of Rs 12,000 crore.

The MoU was signed in Gandhinagar at a ceremony held at on 03 January, The state’s Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel was present at the occasion.

DCM Shriram currently has chlor-alkali facilities in Bharuch. The company is aiming to augment existing capacities and add new products for portfolio expansion.

DCM Shriram is a diversified business entity which spans across multiple sectors including the Agri-Rural Business – Urea, Sugar, Ethanol, Farm Solution Business covering entire range of inputs, R&D based Hybrid Seeds. Chlor-Vinyl Business – Caustic Soda, Chlorine, Aluminum Chloride, Calcium Carbide, PVC Resins, PVC Compounds, Power and Cement. It has value-added business- Fenesta Building Systems makes UPVC and Aluminium.
