Despite having four ministers from Sangrur, only sugar mill of Dhuri lying non-operational: Congress

Sangrur: Sukhpal Singh Khaira, the Congress candidate for the Sangrur parliamentary constituency, posed a question to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann regarding his actions for the people of the Dhuri Assembly segment over the past two years.

Addressing the crowd at Benra and Ladda villages in Dhuri, Khaira pointed out that despite CM Mann’s claims that the Congress had achieved nothing during its tenure, he himself had not done much for Dhuri. Khaira highlighted the fact that Dhuri’s only sugar mill remained non-operational, despite having four ministers from Sangrur, including the CM. He also emphasized that the long-standing demand of the people for the construction of a railway bridge in Dhuri had not been met. Khaira criticized former Congress MLA Dalvir Singh Goldy for his decision to join AAP, labeling it as “political suicide.” He suggested that Goldy’s induction into AAP indicated that Khaira’s opponent, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, would face a significant defeat.
