Farmers decide not to supply cane to the mills failed to clear cane payment

Rohata, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers have decided not to supply sugarcane to the sugar mills that have not paid their cane dues in time, reports Live Hindustan.

The decision in this regard has been taken in a meeting organized by farmers at Satyadham Ashram in Puthkhas. During the meeting, farmers stated that the Kinauni and Simbhawali sugar mills have not paid their cane bills so far.

Vijendra Pramukh, head of Kisan Sugarcane Sangharsh Samiti said that the government should set up the sugarcane collection centers at the mills that have cleared cane dues of farmers. The farmers will be meeting the district cane officer on July 31 and handover the letter of their demands to him in this regard. They have stated that if their demands are not accepted they will be forced to launch an agitation to force the government to accept their demands.
