Canacona: Sugarcane farmers of Canacona have demanded the government to launch an in-depth inquiry into the management of the Sanjivani Karkhana located at Darbandora after its closure three months ago, reports The Times of India.
Prashant Purushottam Gauns Dessai, a member of the facilitation committee said, “We want to know about the sugarcane produced utilized by the mill management that was sent to the mill in 2017-18.”
The permission was taken to transport the sugar to one mill but it was sent to another mill, claimed Gauns Dessai.
