Goa: Sanjivani factory as ethanol plant to be redeveloped through Public Private Partnership route

Panaji: Sanjivani sugar factory will be redeveloped as ethanol plant through the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode, reports The Times of India.

A decision in this regard was taken by chief minister Pramod Sawant in a meeting that was attended by agriculture minister Ravi Naik, head of the 21-member Sugarcane Farmers Facilitation Committee Narendra Sawaikar, and chief secretary Puneet Kumar Goel.

Based on the detailed project report (DPR) submitted by the Deccan Sugar Technology Association (India) for setting up an ethanol production plant at the Sanjivani sugar factory, the PPP department decided to float an RFQ (request for qualification) for its redevelopment.
