Haryana government plans to start jaggery production in two cooperative sugar mills

Karnal, Haryana: Considering the drop in sugar sale and an increase in demand of jaggery, Haryana government plans to start jaggery production in two cooperative sugar mills from next cane crushing season. The government expects that this step will increase the revenue of sugar mills.

According to the media report, two cooperative sugar mills in Kaithal and Palwal had been identified for the pilot project.
