New Delhi: The Finance Ministry on Saturday extended the deadline for filing income tax returns of FY 2019-20 for taxpayer till December 31.
The Finance Ministry said in a statement, “For those taxpayers whose accounts need to be audited, the Income-Tax Return filing deadline has been extended by two months till January 31, 2021.”
In view of constraints being faced by taxpayers due to COVID-19,CBDT further extends due dates for various compliances for FY 2019-20:

The government had earlier extended the date from July 31 to November 30 giving relief to the taxpayers.
In view of constraints being faced by taxpayers due to COVID-19, CBDT further extended the due dates for various compliances for FY 2019-20.
