Belgavi: State Sugar Minister Shivananda Patil has expressed plans to install weighing machines in sugar factories following allegations of farmers being cheated during the sugarcane weighing process, reports The Hans India.
State Sugar Minister Shivananda Patil said, “We will soon convene a meeting of sugar millers and take a decision on this. If a situation arises, we will install weighing machines in the sugar mills.”
