Mawana sugar mill takes steps to clear cane dues

Mawana, Uttar Pradesh: Mawana sugar mill has recently cleared the cane dues of around Rs 15.72 crore. The payment was made for the sugarcane procured till February 21, 2021.

According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, the mill officials have stated that they are committed to clear the cane dues of farmers at the earliest.

Pramod Baliyan, senior chief manager (Sugarcane) said that the mill is using 85 per cent of the amount earned from selling sugar in the market to clear the pending cane dues of the farmers.

The work of the sugarcane survey is also in progress. All the farmers must fill the online declaration form as per the instructions of the sugarcane department and cooperate with the officials during the survey, he said.

He urged the farmers to take care during the coronavirus pandemic and follow all protocols to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
