Ministry clarifies government did not issue any Advt for opening of dealership of petroleum products

New Delhi: It has come to the notice of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas that some unscrupulous persons, by using name and logo of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural gas, have issued Approval Letter for opening Gas Agency dealership/ distributorship through LPG VITARAK KENDRA.

Union Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has clarified that Government of India does not issue any advertisement for the opening of dealership/distributorship of petroleum products. It is further informed that Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas does not have any role in appointment/ awarding of dealership/distributorship. The Oil Marketing Companies, based on feasibility study, identify the locations and issue advertisement of dealers, as per the respective selection guidelines.

Accordingly, the general public is advised not to take notice of such advertisement/ approval letter.
