Mysuru division of Southern Railways begin transporting sugar and maize

Mysuru: Southern Railways has now started transportation of sugar apart from transporting other commodities from its Mysuru division.

The Ministry of Railways last week tweeted that “For the first time, 2661 Tonnes of Sugar was loaded from Nanjangud of Mysuru Division, South Western Railway to New Mangalore.”

As per the news report published in The Hindu, “A Gurugram-based exporter has booked sought movement of 12 rakes of 2,650 tonnes each from Nanjangud to Mangaluru port to transport sugar from Bannari Amman sugar factory near here for export to Indonesia and Bangladesh.”
